Having launched early last year, The Fellowship for British Hairdressing has visited towns and cities across the country with its Fellowship Creative XChange™ events, designed for creatives to come together to present new ideas and techniques, collaborate with like-minded individuals to build stronger local communities and educational learning hubs.
With it’s latest outing, The Fellowship visited the Francesco Group Academy in Poole for a night of creativity, collaboration, and community that kicked off with an introduction from Harry Andreou, a F.A.M.E. Team 2024 member.
Harry went on to introduce the evening’s local artists, explaining what each would be working on throughout the night. The demonstrations showcased how this year’s top trends can be translated into the modern salon and editorial work.
Guest artists included Bournemouth based stylist, Amy Sultan, who showcased the latest trends for hair-ups, Kieran Martin from Wendy Stevens Salisbury, who was demonstrating a woman’s editorial look, and Phil Jarman, who shared his top men’s cuts for the season.
Christchurch based trichologist, Vanessa Robertson, gave insight into wigs and scalp health, while Molly Costanza from Francesco Group demonstrated creative colour, and Mary Cinque from Studio 5 in Windsor shared advice for colouring textured hair.
As the artists worked on styles which incorporated
all the latest trends, there was opportunity for attendees to ask burning questions and dive deeper into the technique that the stylist was using.
The Fellowship Creative XChange™ events have been implemented to build up local creative communities and encourage professionals to become members of the Fellowship and to apply for the Fellowship’s Bespoke Education Projects.
The Creative XChange™ events cover all aspects of the hairdressing and barbering industry, from traditional to contemporary techniques in cutting, styling, colour and barbering across all hair types and textures.
