Never one to play it safe, Larisa Love is balancing life and career in both the USA and in Europe and has recently opened a beautiful new salon in the heart of Amsterdam’s Jordaan district.
Continuing to uphold her diary and commitments in the USA, Larisa will be spending a lot of time in Europe with her rock star husband Sebastian Danzig who regularly tours both continents. Larisa and Sebastian fell in love with Amsterdam and after spending time in the city had a dream to open a salon there. It wasn’t all plain sailing and there were many late nights, early mornings and setbacks along the way. Larisa was determined her dream salon would come true and worked day and night along with Sebastian and the contractors to ensure that her dream became a reality.
“Never be afraid to dream,” said Larisa at the opening night. “It might seem tough at times but never give up. I was so blessed to have the support of Sebastian, my friends and the contractors who shared the same vision as me. Bringing the salon to life was an incredible experience and I can say in all honesty dreams really do come true.”
With friends and colleagues flying in from Germany, the UK and the USA, the guests were welcomed with champagne and matcha drinks before being shown around the new salon. Key features of the salon include a JOICO color bar, comfortable salon furniture, a leopard print sofa along with shelves featuring Larisa’s favourite JOICO care and styling products. The double aspect windows feature original stained-glass panels which let so much natural light into the salon, essential for Larisa’s fabulous color transformations.
Several showstopping glass chandeliers make a strong statement and the eye-catching design elements don’t stop in the main salon; the powder room features a decoupage wall created from black and white portraits of supermodels and inspirational images. The salon epitomises Larisa’s unique style and her attention to detail perfectly.
