Hair & Beauty Charity Launches Wear Purple Day

Purple, violet, mauve, lilac or plum – whatever you call it, wear it for the Hair & Beauty Charity Wear Purple Day.

The brand new fundraiser for 2026 will run the week of Monday November 2, so pick whichever day suits your team, wear something purple, and donate to your industry charity.

How purple you go is up to you; a swipe of lipstick, a set of nails, a pair of shoes or a full head of violet hair.

Go head to toe or keep it to a single accessory. Get clients to join in and make it a whole salon fundraising event.

Money raised goes towards the industry’s official charity- which supports hair, barbering and beauty professionals and their families through illness, bereavement, financial hardship and crisis.

President of the Hair & Beauty Charity, Jayne Lewis-Orr, said: “Wear Purple Day is designed for everyone to get involved. You don’t need a big team, a budget, or weeks of planning. If you work in hair, barbering, or beauty, you can take part.

“Paint your nails, put on a purple jumper, colour your hair, get your clients involved, and have some fun. The money raised goes straight to people in our industry who are having the hardest time of their lives, so the more of us who join in, the more people we can help.”
