The French Bob is an iconic jawline cut with a fringe – wearable, versatile and great for straight, wavy and 2C curls. This bob is styled sleek for maximum chic.
You can achieve this look at home- all you need is a Denman brush and to follow this simple step by step guide:
Step 1
Starting at the nape, cut a solid line just at the hairline angling down to follow the line of the jaw.
Step 2
Using the comb to hold the hair straight down at the jawline, cut free-hand taking care not to add graduation and ensure that sleek solid style.
Step 3
With both sides cut, take a central triangular section to approximately halfway to the crown and blunt cut the fringe section to the bridge of the nose.
Step 4
Using a Denman D4 9-Row Original Styler, wrap dry the back sections downwards and across to smooth and avoid root-lift.
Step 5
As you move up the head, use the first two rows of the brush pins to pull down and bend the hair under building shape through the ends for a head-hugging style.
Step 6
As the sections get longer, use the full brush, pulling through to smooth and continue to amplify at the ends.
Step 7
For the top sections, elevate to add root lift for a beautiful, rounded shape.
Step 8
Pull the fringe section forwards with slight lift, taking care not to add too much bend and allowing the fringe to fall heavily.
The final look is polished and elegant.
