OSMO Brand Ambassador, Jude Taylor, is celebrating a remarkable trio of wins at the North East Hair & Beauty Awards, taking home the titles of Hairdresser of the Year, Unique Colour Specialist of the Year and Creative Cutting Technician of the Year.
The three awards recognise Jude’s distinctive approach to hairdressing, which combines creative cutting with bold, unconventional colour, and specialist expertise in curly hair.
Established in 2022, the North East Hair & Beauty Awards celebrate and champion hair, beauty, makeup and aesthetics professionals from across the region.
The awards shine a spotlight on emerging talent, small businesses and established professionals while recognising the creativity, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit that help make the North East a thriving creative hub.
Newcastle upon Tyne-based Jude began his hairdressing career in 2019, starting his apprenticeship shortly before the pandemic and qualifying with a Level 3 diploma in 2023.
Since then, he has quickly built a reputation for his alternative and highly creative work, often bending traditional hairdressing rules to produce striking cuts and vivid colour transformations.
Commenting on his three wins, Jude said: “Just WOW! I’m still shocked at taking home three award wins. Each category reflects a different part of hairdressing that I genuinely love, from pushing colour boundaries to creating strong, individual shapes through cutting. To have my work recognised within the North East Hair and Beauty community means so much to me.
“I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me and trusted me with their hair, as well as the brands and creative teams I have the opportunity to work with. Becoming an OSMO Ambassador has allowed me to share my ideas and techniques with a wider audience, and these awards will give me even more motivation to keep experimenting, learning and creating.”
As an OSMO Brand Ambassador, Jude shares his technical expertise and enthusiasm for creative hairdressing with the wider OSMO community.
He regularly works with the OSMO Curl Revival range, OSMO Planet Vivid creative colour and OSMO IKON professional colour, lightening, and care products to produce his signature looks.
Alongside his salon work, Jude enjoys presenting on stage and has showcased his skills at leading industry events, including HairCon. He also uses social media to share his work, express his authentic creative style and connect with clients and fellow hair professionals.
