Hair Goes Global With Live Fashion Hair Americas 2026

More than 300 professionals, nominees, and VIP guests gathered at Davines Group House, Brooklyn, in an edition that connected international education, talent, fashion, and creativity.

Live Fashion Hair celebrated a new edition of Live Fashion Hair Americas 2026, with the platform consolidating its international presence and bringing together professionals, artists, finalists, brands, and guests in the heart of New York.

The event took place on September 20 at Davines Group House in Brooklyn, with more than 300 guests, including nominees, professionals, and VIP guests, in a day designed to connect education, creativity, fashion, talent, and the professional community.

The American edition featured Booksy as main partner and Davines as host, reinforcing the international scope of a project that continues to build connections between professionals and leaders in the hairdressing, barbering, and beauty industry.

International Education: Four Artists, Four Visions

The schedule began with the Live Fashion Hair Masterclasses, one of the event’s educational pillars. Four renowned professionals shared their knowledge, technique, and unique vision of the industry:

  • Byrd Mena, a leader in contemporary barbering, community building, and branding within the professional sector.
  • Simone Petinatti, an international specialist in hair color and lightening techniques, associated with the Brazilian Free Hands movement.
  • Joel Torres, an international hairstylist and educator whose vision connects haircutting, styling, editorial imagery, and photography.
  • Michael Polsinelli, who completed the educational program drawing from his professional experience and his connection with Davines.

These sessions turned the first part of the day into a space dedicated to training, inspiration, and knowledge exchange among professionals. The afternoon gave way to one of the central moments of this edition – the Live Fashion Hair Awards Americas 2026 ceremony, designed to recognize the industry’s creative talent internationally.

Tenerife Takes its Fashion and Creativity to Brooklyn

Live Fashion Hair Americas 2026 also became an international showcase for the Canary Islands, incorporating into its program two proposals linked to Comercio de Tenerife and Comercio de La Laguna.

The designer José Acosta, hand in hand with Comercio de Tenerife, presented his proposal in Brooklyn under the hair direction of the renowned international artist Peter Gray. The presence of Comercio de La Laguna completed the Canarian representation within the ceremony, with Giuseppe Stelitano in charge of the hair styling.

These actions made it possible to connect the talent and the trade of Tenerife, as well as the Cabildo de Tenerife, with an international audience in one of the world’s main creative hubs.

Makeup and image

The makeup direction for Live Fashion Hair Americas was led by Yely Rodríguez, Makeup Director of Live Fashion Hair, with the collaboration of Alberto Dugarte and Vanessa Contreras. The team worked on creating the different visual concepts presented during the runway shows and content developed in Brooklyn, integrating hair, makeup, and fashion within the same creative language.

Much more than an awards ceremony

Live Fashion Hair Americas approaches each edition as a professional meeting point that goes beyond an award ceremony.

Education, awards, fashion, creativity, networking, and content creation coexisted during a day designed to foster exchange between professionals from different markets. The project’s philosophy continues to be based on a fundamental idea: connecting people, cultures, and talent through hairdressing, barbering, beauty, and fashion.

The New York edition brought together established professionals and new generations under one roof, creating connections between Europe and America and strengthening the international community built around Live Fashion Hair.

From New York to Tenerife

After closing the American edition, Live Fashion Hair now turns its gaze toward Europe. The next stop will be La Laguna, Tenerife, where Live Fashion Hair Global 2026 will be held on October 18, 2026.

The new edition will once again bring together training, awards, fashion, and national and international guests, continuing the creative bridge established between America and Europe.

New York marks the closing of a new international chapter. Tenerife will be next.
