Daisy Edgar-Jones is bringing romantic hair inspiration to the Sense and Sensibility press tour, pairing rich, warm color with soft, undone styling. Her recent carpet appearances have echoed the film’s free-spirited beauty aesthetic – an easy starting point for a modern, cottagecore-inspired look.
Jacob Schwartz, celebrity colorist and Schwarzkopf Professional U.S. Hair Color Trend Ambassador, created Daisy’s ‘Strawberry Brunette’ shade using subtle copper and golden undertones woven through a rich brunette base.
The combination catches the light without reading as a traditional red or auburn, offering a warm, glossy take on brunette that feels especially fitting for fall.
Here’s Jacob’s “Strawberry Brunette” formula, to take behind the chair:
- Hairline: IGORA VIBRANCE 7-0 + 7-55 + 8-0 with 6-volume developer.
- Roots: IGORA VIBRANCE 7-0 (45g) + 7-55 (15g) with 6-volume developer. Process the root gloss for 20 minutes.
- All-over gloss: IGORA VIBRANCE 7-77 + 7-55 + 0-77 + 0-55 with 6-volume developer. Process for 5 minutes.
To recreate the mood, Brendnetta Ashley, Schwarzkopf Professional USA Digital Artistic Team member, recommends building body and loose movement while keeping the finish touchable. “The secret to these effortless, editorial waves is controlled imperfection,” said Ashley.
Get the Look:
- Build body: Start with OSiS Grip for root lift and body, then blow-dry with a round brush, directing face-framing pieces away from the face.
- Create soft movement: Form loose, elongated bends rather than uniform curls. Let the hair cool before brushing through.
- Add texture and shine: Use OSiS Texture Craft for touchable grip and separation, followed by OSiS Glow for soft, luminous shine.
- Keep the hold flexible: Finish with OSiS Elastic for flexible, brushable hold.
For curly or coily hair, Ashley recommends adapting the prep with OSiS Bounty Balm for softness and frizz control, followed by OSiS Curl Jam for definition with a softer hold. Diffuse, then lightly separate curls with Fibre Clinix Light Oil.
